GO CARE recognizes that you need to have honest and open communication with your medical providers and that you should be affirmed and respected for the person you are. We also believe you should feel no shame in discussing issues with your medical provider – whether those issues be emotional, physical, or sexual. We want to help you Move Health Forward by getting you the services you need!
That is why we have expanded our services to include comprehensive healthcare services geared toward people who are LGBTQ and toward those people who want to receive their healthcare in an open and affirming environment. You can also make an appointment with one of our medical providers for the treatment of Hepatitis C. For people living with HIV, please visit our HIV Health page.
Our staff of compassionate, experienced, and knowledgeable healthcare professionals are here to listen to you, to care for you, to teach you how to care for yourself, and to help you live your best life.
We accept most health insurance plans, and we participate in the Louisiana Medicaid program. If you don’t have health insurance, we have a Benefits Specialist who can assist you in obtaining health coverage. We are not a free clinic; however, we offer low-cost medical treatment for those people who do not have health insurance.
We also want to help make healthcare affordable. In January 2019, we implemented a Sliding Fee Discount Program for our patients whose incomes are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. There’s some paperwork that needs to be completed, as well as documentation of your income, so please talk to one of our Front Office Coordinators to find out more!
